The annual culture week at Bornholm
Culture here there and everywhere. The island has a lot to offer this week. The theme of this years event is Time+ so every artist on the island try to make hers or his offer on this issue.
The Museum of Art open their doors with an exhibition by a painter Povl Shroeder. He came to the island in 1921 on a invitation from a painter from the island, Oluf Høst (Oluf Hoest) and he spend his summers over here. He was strongly influenced by Van Gogh, but later on by Matisse and Bonard.
This collection is kindly donated to the Museum of Art by Birgitte and Bernard Hugounenq living in the south of France. Birgitte is born Nørregaard Noerregaard) Here are some photos of the paintings and photos from the area around the Museum of Art. Hope you enjoy them.
